The film section brings together fiction and documentary titles in which sport is more than a backdrop. Basketball, boxing, football, motorsport, running, baseball, figure skating and climbing appear here through different forms: long observation, biography, team drama, management story and historical reconstruction. Each film page gives the basic context and then opens into the people, sporting culture and longer essays around it.

The list is deliberately cross-linked with the rest of Morse. That makes the film list a starting point for deeper reading rather than a row of isolated titles.
